After a short briefing from your British Gliding Association instructor, it's time to take to the skies for an unforgettable flight. You'll take the controls during your flight, and if you get hooked, this first lesson counts towards a Glider Pilot's certificate. Generally you will asked to hand in the voucher on the day, so remember to take this with you as it is your form of payment for your lesson. You will then be briefed by your instructor before the flightMost gliding clubs are owned and run by their members. Your introduction to gliding will often include helping out with various tasks associated with gliding keeping the log, preparing to launch gliders etc, whilst awaiting your turn to fly.
